Elevator Pitch
After 400 years of humans fleeing to the moon, you have been given the mission of determining if Earth is once again, a suitable living environment for humans. Upon returning to Earth, you board a scout vehicle and explore the planet. Earth has been reclaimed by nature exhibiting magical qualities nicknamed the Aether. Riders must make a choice between either extracting the newfound Aether magic from their samples, or collecting for analysis. The choice they make here will determine which characters and factions they meet throughout the narrative. Soon, the Aether magic begins to weaken in the environment as too much of it is being taken. This creates instability and the enemy culprit is identified as members of the opposing faction. Multiple vehicles move into a larger area for a final showdown where vehicles are zipping everywhere. The vehicles of similar factions link up must work together for one final attack. The supreme being of nature freezes time and shows you the importance of living with the land. The magic of the forest teleports you back from whence you came, and you exit your vehicle at the moon station.

ride mechanics & ride vehicles layout
Our team designed a trackless vehicle ride system that allows for a unique and immersive experience. Each vehicle, or "pod," can accommodate up to two passengers and is equipped with a control panel and interactive elements, such as a collector. Additionally, the pods feature onboard audio and radio communication as well as lighting effects that are tailored to the rider's faction, adding to the overall excitement of the ride.
Our team also incorporated a role-based experience for players to enhance the overall gameplay. The System Analyzer role allows players to press buttons to store samples and maintain shields, while the Sample Explorer role involves using vacuums to collect samples and shooting to steal samples from the opposing team. This added layer of strategy and collaboration makes for a more dynamic and engaging ride experience.

Through this project, our team learned valuable skills such as using SVN to effectively manage assets and building an Unreal scene based on a 3D scan of a diorama. Additionally, we became proficient in OSC communication and incorporating special LED lighting effects into the design. Working with a designing agency also taught us the importance of clear communication and collaboration in order to bring the project to fruition."
